A SMILING David Beckham “pilots” a speedboat up the Thames in a special action sequence that imagined the Olympic flame’s final journey to the stadium.
Becks — looking suave in a suit and tie — sped under Tower Bridge which opened up amid a spectacular fireworks display.
The thrilling footage also had Team GB soccer star Jade Bailey at the front of the boat clutching the torch.
Becks’ grin gave away the fact the whole thing was a film stunt — but he seemed to be having a ball.

ROWAN Atkinson had the stadium in stitches as he made a surprise appearance as hapless Mr Bean.
The comedy icon yawned and texted as he played a repeated note on the keyboard during a performance of the Chariots of Fire theme by the London Symphony Orchestra.
He then dozed off to dream of himself running along a beach in a remake of the classic scene from the movie.
As his fellow runners left him in their tracks he jumped in a car and joined them again at the end of the race, crossing the finish line first.
