DAMON ALBARN couldn’t stop talking about Mo Farah after Blur’s Hyde Park gig on Sunday night.
The frontman raved about the long distance runner into yesterday’s early hours as the band celebrated their gig.
Damon, Alex James, Graham Coxon and Dave Rowntree hosted an afterparty at the Century Club in Soho. At 4am, after a few sherries, Damon was still holding court with friends and family about London 2012.
He said: “Mo was superb. It was the most beautiful story of the Games, with him coming from Somalia as a child. He represents modern London – and it made my life easy for a minute on stage.
“The easiest bit of the whole gig was getting everybody to do the Mobot.”
Once Damon has shaken off his sore head he’s got another project lined up for next month. The Essex lad’s Africa Express collective has announced a UK tour.
Rizzle Kicks, Bombay Bicycle Club, Carl Barat and The Temper Trap will all be involved.
Damon should invite his new hero Mo on stage too.
Daniels is an Oasis fan
HERE’s a music fact for any anoraks out there – Phil Daniels is actually a bigger fan of Oasis than Blur.
The actor, who took his starring role in Parklife at Hyde Park, showed his true colours with a Pretty Green polo shirt.
