JENNIFER ANISTON has been the poster girl for the unlucky-in-love since divorcing Brad Pitt in 2005.

But after dating a string of Hollywood lotharios, it now seems her luck has finally turned.

The 43-year-old actress has announced she is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, 41.

Many are saying the announcement is well timed, as there are rumours that this weekend 48-year-old Brad will wed Angelina Jolie — the woman he fell in love with while still married to Jennifer.

JENNIFER ANISTON first laid eyes on Justin Theroux on the set of one of the worst movies she ever made.

But while the comedy Wanderlust flopped on its release in March this year, her love life soared — for once.

The pair were immediately smitten and became inseparable off the set.

But their instant chemistry was bad news for Justin’s girlfriend of 14 years, fashion designer Heidi Bivens.

She moved out of the swanky New York flat they shared at around the same time that Jennifer and Justin were seen on their first date.

Since then the whirlwind romance has gone from strength to strength. But who is Justin Theroux and how did he win Jennifer’s heart?

He was born in 1971 in Washington DC, where mum Phyllis is a journalist and author who worked for the Washington Post, and dad Eugene is a corporate lawyer.

Justin is novelist Paul Theroux’s nephew — and cousin of British TV’s Louis Theroux.

After graduating from college he had moderate success as an actor, appearing in such critically acclaimed movies as American Psycho in 2000 and Mulholland Drive in 2001, though he never got the starring roles that would make him a US household name.

Shunning LA he moved to New York, where he met Heidi. Since their split her mum Marilyn has made cryptic comments to the media, hinting that Heidi is doing her best to turn the other cheek.

Meanwhile, Jennifer’s dad John has given his approval to the relationship, describing Justin as “charming”, and Jennifer has also taken Justin to see her mum Nancy, who recently suffered a stroke.
