JASON Segel has reached out to Heath Ledger’s family to ensure thier access to the tragic actor’s daughter.
The Five Year Engagement actor, who has been dating Michelle Williams since the beginning of the year, phoned Heath’s dad Kim to reassure them over the future of Matilda.
And he has offered them hs LA home for visits to see the six-year-old.
Michelle fell out with Heath’s family over his legacy and awards after the star’s death in 2008.
But they have recently buried the hatchet and her partner Jason is hoping they can all get along.
A source told a US website: “Jason got on the phone and introduced himself to Kim, and then invited the Ledgers to use his home whenever they wanted to fly in from Australia to visit Michelle and Maddie.

“Kim was blown away by Jason’s generosity and the two hit it off right away. Now Kim’s given his blessing for Jason to marry Michelle and be a stepdad to Matilda.”
The little girl is the product of a three-year relationship between Michelle and Heath which ended in September 2007, four months before he died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.
