KATY Perry fuels rumours she’s dating legendary lothario John Mayer by heading home with him after a dinner date.

The pop star kept her head down as she sat in the passenger seat of singer John’s car, but couldn’t keep a little coy grin from appearing on her face.

The pair reportedly enjoyed a romantic meal on the outside patio of a Los Angeles restaurant, spending three hours trading intimate chat.

Katy hit town with the rampant rocker – who counts Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift among his A-list conquests – just hours after touching down following her work trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

With John sporting a long, curly dark hairdo these days, Katy will surely experience flashbacks of her failed marriage to Russell Brand when she looks at him.

The couple have been spending ‘professional’ time working on songs together and hooked up for two nights of flirting last month.

They were spotted at club Soho House in LA then met up for pizza at Katy’s house just days later.

A source said: “Katy, who's had a crush on John since 2009, has been on several dates around Los Angeles.

“Katy seems to forget about John's womanising rep and the fact that he disastrously dated her pal, Taylor Swift.”

The Wide Awake star’s divorce from Russell was recently finalised, bringing the axe down on their 14-month union.

Since splitting from the Brit comedian in December, Katy has kept a low-profile on the dating front but was linked to Florence + The Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd earlier this year.

Despite her romantic woes, Katy recently revealed she still believes in love and told US Elle mag: “I'm a woman who likes to be courted, strongly.

“Never say never, I guess you'd say. I'll let love take the lead on that.”
