BORIS Johnson becomes a victim of Olympic transport delays — getting stuck in a zip-line over a London park.
The London Mayor was stopping in at East London's Victoria Park earlier today, where huge screens are displaying all the action from the Games.
But while strapped into a harness to tackle a 320m-long wire — which lets visitors zoom over the park at high speeds — the gaffe-prone politician was hit by technical problems as his harness got stuck.
And as astonished crowds below looked on, a helmeted Boris found himself danging 15ft above the ground, around 60ft from the end of the line.
The patriotic politician kept a close grip on his Union Jack flags, continuing to wave them as technical staff worked to get him down.
Eye-witnesses say that when asked how he was feeling, he replied: "Very well thank-you", and even led the crowds in cheering on the Team GB rowers who could be seen on a nearby big screen.
And after dangling for five minutes, he was eventually pulled back to the ground by ground teams.
The politician is known for being gaffe-prone, and has previously faced criticism for making offensive remarks about Liverpool, Portsmouth and the island of Papua New Guinea.
And he was blasted last summer for failing to return to London from a scheduled holiday - despite rioting in the capital.
