Swansea defender Ben Davies has been called up to the Wales senior squad as the replacement for injured team-mate Neil Taylor.

Taylor broke his ankle in three places during Saturday's Barclays Premier League game against Sunderland and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Davies, 19, came off the bench to step in for the 23-year-old left-back in the 2-2 draw and has now been called up to take his place in the national squad. Wales will play two 2014 World Cup qualifying matches in the coming days, kicking off against Belgium in Cardiff on Friday before taking on Serbia next Tuesday.
