OLYMPIC star Craig Bellamy is closing on a return to Cardiff.
The Liverpool striker is expected to seal a free transfer to the Welsh club within the next 24 hours.
Bellamy spent a year on loan at the Bluebirds before joining the Reds last summer.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers said: “I had a really good meeting with Craig before I moved up here.
“He is a big Liverpool supporter but I also understand his thinking.
“He is 33 and has travelled around the country all his life, so there are compassionate reasons.
“We will look at it but we will wish him all the best and move forward.”
Daniel Agger could also be heading for the Anfield exit door.
The Denmark defender is a target is a Manchester City and Rodgers added: “He has been here seven years.
“He loves the club and its supporters. But every player has his price and we will see where it goes.”
