Katy Perry 'hurt' after John Mayer split

KATY Perry's romance with John Mayer is over already, according to reports in the US.

After just a few months of casual dating, the renowned ladies' man has called time on their fling.

A source tells the American magazine: “She’s really upset about it.

"She is making it seem like it wasn’t serious with John, but she is hurt.”

The budding romance was first reported in June when Katy, who had previously admitted to a fling on the rocker, was seen snogging 34-year-old John during an "affectionate" appearance at Soho House in West Hollywood.

Then at a Beverly Hills pool party earlier this month, the pair "were all over each other, making out," according to one observer.

A friend said earlier this month that the Teenage Dream singer was ready to get serious with John.

They said: "She doesn't want to get her heart broken again, but she feels a real connection and wants to see where things go."

John has dated a string of stars, including Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift, while Katy recently dated Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd following her divorce from ex-husband Russell Brand.
